September 4, 1999- At the most recent NAWF pay-per-view, Motor City Mayhem (which was delayed a week), Justin Sane took on Kid Insane for the second consecutive time, again for the NAWF Hardcore/Gimmick Championship. With neither man being the champion going into the bout, one was destined to be the champion at the end of the night. In a brutal, falls-count-anywhere street fight (literally), Kid Insane somehow managed to pull out the upset, and rewin his NAWF Hardcore/Gimmick Title.
After the match however, something positive happened for Sane at the show. Nighthawk and Sane rejoined to form World Innovators: Elite. Nighthawk "passed the torch" to Sane as the future of the NAWF. Sane will work on his current future next week on Saturday Night Destruction, as he battles Steve "Mimic" Michaels for the NAWF Television Title.
